JSC meeting June 5 & 6, 2018 Meeting Goal: Four Indicators or signs and signals of water quality state have been chosen: Local observations and oral histories of good water, poor water, seasonal differences, land-based consumption practices; Ambient surface and groundwater concentrations; Relative Abundance of aquatic macroinvertebrates; Local approaches to water quality assessment. The task is to find ways to braid data/information that are relevant to these four signs and signals such that the braided knowledge says something meaningful about the state of water quality in the Mackenzie Basin and can be incorporated into the next SOAER.
9
JSC meeting June 5 & 6, 2018 Meeting Outcome: Develop case studies/way of braiding knowledge for guidance to the contractor and possibly identify where there are information gaps. A pre-meeting assignment review and identify indigenous knowledge and data available and to identify datasets that would address the indicators chosen for the meeting.
