LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS Several “local” scholarships are awarded by the private organizations within the Moline community. These are typically advertised in early March with a due date of mid-April: Cyrus & Mildred Churchill Memorial Scholarship Bill Bishop Memorial Scholarship Moline Booster Club Scholarship Shirley Rosenberg Memorial Scholarship Cervantes Scholarship Alex Hallene Memorial Scholarship

The Moline Foundation Provides scholarships exclusively to MHS students Scholarships through this organization will be posted on November 1, 2018 Applications for these scholarships will be online through the Moline Foundation’s website Descriptions and links for these scholarships can be found on the Counseling Website. Due date: March 15, 2019

HOW DO I GET AN APPLICATION?
Once announced, applications are available to download directly off of the Counseling website If an application is not available online, it will be indicated on the website as well as in the announcements, and an application may be picked up in the Counseling Center

SCHOLARSHIP SEARCHES Usually a rip-off or a scam--you can obtain the same information by using a little hard work Free scholarship search engines are available on the counseling website under the tab, “Recommended Scholarship Databases” -Some examples include:

WHEN DO I START? Seniors--NOW!
Underclassmen--keep a file on the scholarships that are available now which may apply to you when you are a senior--nearly 98% of the scholarships are repeated from year to year and usually follow the same time frame
