Asset Tag: Instructions and Guide for Consistent Placement

2 Questions about asset tags or app can be directed to
Only one asset tag to be placed per unit. If more than one asset is placed, scan both tags. A) If neither tag pulls back a match, remove the tag that is not placed correctly on the display. With the tag that is left on the display, follow the App Tracking steps. B) If one tag pulls back a match, remove the tag that pulls back no data. With the tag that is left on the display, follow the App Tracking steps. C) If both tags pull back data, move forward with the Asset Tracking steps with one of the tag numbers. with both tag numbers and what number you left on the display, only leave one tag on the display. Visually search the entire display for an asset tag before placing a new tag. Each unit of a display must have it’s own asset tag. Exceptions are monolith displays (BBY & Freestanding) which have one tag for the entire 12’. Placement of asset tag on Freestanding (Standard 2’, 3’ & 4’) displays must be on the back, either right or left side.
