We study different aspects of biological diversity from local to global scales. Specifically, we focus on the effects of global change (climate warming, land use, N-pollution) on species distribution, biological invasions, community assembly, ecological drivers of micro-evolution and the evaluation of landscape structures and landscape dynamics with regard to ecosystem service provision. Our model systems are mainly vascular plants, but also include other taxonomic groups.
