9. Expository/Research Mini Unit
(Common Core Nonfiction) Novel: Night- Elie Wiesel’s compelling true story, an autobiographical account of life in inside the Nazi Germany concentration camps of WWII Conclude the year with a group project where students will analyze and connect the themes across the whole year.

Finish reading chapters in class novels

Philosophy: I value the writing process. No author wrote a novel on the first try! If students show initiative and interest improving their writing skills, then I will reread and re-grade their work!
