7 Big Idea Form follows Function
This means that how things look (its shape), is dictated by the specific job they are supposed to do Form fits function at all the levels of life, from molecules to organisms. Knowledge of a structure provides insight into what it does and how its works. Conversely, knowing the function of a structure provides insight about its construction.

9 Relationship to Stem Cells
In order to understand all of human physiology and for our purposes now why stem cells are so important Stem Cells do Not have a job Said to be undifferentiated Once differentiated they have a specific job, and are no longer stem cells.

10 Look at the picture below, with your partner determine what each cells job is, and how the shape of each cell enables it to do its job.
