3. HRP UWB PHY enhancement status
TG4z has approved two consensus presentations into the baseline
At our July session

There are a number of items still to be agreed which means that the text really cannot be generated yet
If I have time I may begin to work on the agreed items

4. Ranging methods
On our 1st Conference Call (2nd October), Aditya Padaki asked about MAC level ranging facilities and the proposal to base this on what was done in 15.8
I said I planned a contribution to TG4z (based on ) but updated include some new items needed for 4z
Each version of proposed using the methods and IE from
To bring this into z I plan to do the following:
Revise into a TG4z submission to present (hopefully) in Bangkok and seek a motion to approve the text into the draft
If any TG4z participants wish to review the source doc and suggest improvements or items to include I would be happy to have this input

5. LRP UWB PHY enhancement status – (1)
David Barras gave text proposal at our May session

This was never officially approved into the baseline/draft
Closing report calls this “Content for Baseline Draft”
Minutes record its presentation and a discussion
At our September session David presented

And there is companion text submission

This is not officially approved either as neither minutes nor closing mention it
However and are reasonable texts upon which to base the LRP UWB PHY clause
I therefore propose to proceed on that basis
We can review and approve the resultant draft in due course

6. LRP UWB PHY enhancement status – (2)

Could David review the MAC primitives or PIB changes needed to drive the new modes, data rates etc and provide the text for this
This would be okay in a separate submission in Bangkok
Would be good also to provide message sequence chart for the complex interactions of the Scan Mode Round-Trip Time-of-Flight

This was approved into the baseline, and although it is only a only pptx it actually details all the required changes to the standard

There is some confusion with respect to some of the July submissions and their inclusion in the draft/baseline:

The July San Diego Minutes ( ) records a motion proposing into the baseline, however does not seem to exist in the WG15 Mentor system?
For now, I propose to ignore/forget about this unknown document

Not so clear whether TG4z reviewed the text submission or agreed to include it in the draft
Definitely we have not reviewed uploaded on 7 Sept and not mentioned in September minutes or closing report
My proposal to resolve this:
Have the author (or a delegate) present in Bangkok and seek approval from TG4z to include it into the draft
Since it is on the server already participants have time review this beforehand
In advance, the editor may integrate this into the draft if time allows

At our September session Aditya V Padaki presented z-inclusion-of-uwb-secure-service-information-element.ppt
This was approved into the baseline, however it is a pptx file
On our 1st Conference Call (2nd October), Aditya agreed:
To provide a ms-word version of this that describes the IE and all its sub-fields (see how other IE are described in the current )
May I also ask:
That this includes body text to refer to the IE and say when it is appropriate to use it, ideally with the aid of a message sequence chart (e.g. this might be built upon two-way-ranging)
If possible for separate Visio files for any figures
