What is a System? Something with two or more parts that interact.
A change in one part of the system will cause a change in the system overall. Systems have boundaries (you can define what IS part of the system and what is not) What are other examples of systems?

What makes something a living thing? (an organism) Discuss the talking points on the handout with your group and come up with what your group thinks are the characteristics of life.
