Even numbers all numbers that ends with any of the following numbers: 0, 2, 4, 6, 8.
Odd Numbers: all the numbers which are not even.
Example: Which of the following is even? 14,100,27,2863,75318,and 2.
Solution: The even numbers are 14, 100,275318, and 2.why?

3. Divisibility Rules (2) A number can be divided by 2 if
the last digit is even or zero
Example: Which of the following is divisible by 2?Justify your answer.
290,2345,2346,89,789,48
Solution:
290 yes it ends with 0.
2345 no since 9 is not even.
2346 yes since 6 is even
789 no since 9 is not even.
48 yes since 8 is even.

4. Divisibility Rules (3) a number is divisible by 3 if
the sum of the digits is divisible by 3
Example: Which of the following is divisible by 3?Justify your answer.290,2745,2346.
290: 2+9+0=11, but 11 not divisible by 3 so 290 is not divisible by 3.
2745: = 18, and 18 is divisible by 3 so 2745 is divisible by 3.
2346: = 15, and 15 is divisible by 3 so 2346 is divisible by 3.

If the sum of the last two digits can be divided by 4

Solution:
234 is even since ends with 4 which is even.
2+3+4=9 which is divisible by 3 so 234 is divisible by 3.
Since even + divisible by 3 so divisible by 6
