State University
Established in October by the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton
Higher education in Zenica started at the High Technical School in 1959
Since 1961, HTS acts as the Faculty of Metallurgy within the Sarajevo University
University of Zenica today: 8 faculties, 2 university centers, 3 institutes, 40 chairs, 5000 students, 414 academic staff, 47 study programs (26 BSc, 19 MSc, 2 PhD)
