Newton’s Third Law of Motion - forces always act in equal but opposite pairs
(for every action there is an equal & opposite reaction)

4. Action-Reaction Forces
action-reaction forces - equal & opposite, but do not cancel because they act on different objects
(forces can only cancel if they act on the same object)
such forces can be difficult to identify… b/c one of the objects is so massive that it appears to remain motionless even when a force acts on it
(more mass = more inertia = barely moves)
