Guidelines for funding
Applications must be submitted two or more months prior to the relevant activity DEC requests to DEN Directors re: participation by key staff in relevant activities (e.g., coordinators/participants in comparisons) Approval process: applications must address agreed DEC criteria, evaluations are undertaken by DEC WG and are either endorsed at the DEC level or, where appropriate (see DEC Terms of Reference), recommendations are submitted to APMP EC for endorsement Approvals will identify the nature of available support – e.g., which activities and what level of support is approved for each activity (e.g., class of travel) Where applications are endorsed, quotations of relevant costs are submitted to the DEC WG for approval (together with bank details for funds transfer) and either: the DEC WG advises the APMP Treasurer of payments required; OR applicants submit invoices to the APMP Treasurer for reimbursement following the activity.

Expert or EC endorsement (if applicable) (required) NMI management endorsement (required) Clearly stated objectives/outcomes (required) Potential impact Probability of success Completion of any identified preparatory and reporting/evaluation tasks (required) Level of funding provided by NMIs (highly desirable) Fit with strategic plans of a number of DENs APMP/DEC Strategic Plan priority Level of development of economies (Classification) History of successful uptake of assistance (DEC WG evaluation) Possibility of coordinating assistance/linkage with other assistance (duplication vs building on vs collaboration)
