SANCO Veterinary programmes 2011 Legal basis: Commission Decision 2010/732/EU approving annual and multiannual programmes and the financial contribution from the Union for the eradication, control and monitoring of certain animal diseases and zoonoses presented by the Member States for 2011 and following years.

SANCO Task Force for monitoring disease eradication in the Member States created in 2000 Objectives: to improve animal disease eradication to improve the cost-benefit-ratio of programmes co-financed by the Community.

SANCO Future Approach Multi-annual diseases and zoonoses eradication, control and monitoring programmes better management to make the objectives of the eradication programmes clearer more auditable to ensure effective use of EU funds improving transparency allowing the programmes to be adapted to respond to progress and epidemiological developments
