2. Synthetic Division:
Step 1: Set up L chart exactly like synthetic substitution, however, the number outside the L chart is the opposite of the divisor’s constant.
Step 2: Complete the L chart using the same method.
Step 3: The last number is the remainder, the second to last is the constant, the third to last is the x term, the fourth to last is the x2 term etc.
