The following structures are saddled with Managerial Functions in the University: - University Management Committee (UMC) -Committee of Mgt. Provost and Deans - Faculty Boards (FBs) -Departmental/Unit Boards (DBs/UBs) (1)UMC – It Consist of: The Vice-Chancellor (Chairman) Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Member) Registrar (Secretary/Member) Bursar (Member) University Librarian (Member)

It is important to note that the UMC is supported by Committees/Units or Personnel attached to Officers. UMC SUPPORT OFFICES ICT UNIT SECURITY UNIT GST UNIT VICE-CHANCELLOR INFORMATION AND PROTOCOL WORKS DEPARTMENT PHYSICAL PLANNING UNIT LEGAL UNIT DEANS

DEPUTY VICE CHANCELLOR Committees being Chaired by the DVC Administrative Personnel/ Units Under the coordination of the Registrar e.g Faculty Officers, Exams and Records, Personnel Units etc. REGISTRAR BURSAR Student Accounts unit, Treasury Unit, Payroll, Tax and Pension Unit etc. LIBRARIAN E-Library Unit, Law/Medical Library Unit and Cataloguing etc.

(2)Committee of Mgt.,Provost andDeans(CMPD) Composition-It consists of UMC members, the Provost, the Academic Deans and the Dean of Students or Coordinator of Student Affairs. Functions-(a) To advise Mgt. (b)To discuss issues as it affects their specific offices

Registrar (Faculty Officer) Secretary Representatives of other Faculties, Functions The Functions among others include: Implement Senate Decisions Make Academic Recommendations to Senate Approve results for presentation at senate.

CONTD. In the Performance of the above functions the Faculty Boards are supported by Committees Such as: Faculty Mgt. Committee, Time table Committee, Faculty Examination Misconduct Committee etc.
