How the atomic bomb was developed
The overall atomic bomb project which took place during WWII was called the Manhattan project It involved the work of hundreds of scientists and engineers from multiple disciplines Participants in the Manhattan project worked at multiple locations in the USA and Canada

Nuclear energy Nuclear energy from the atomic bomb is released by fission of Uranium 235 The amount of energy is defined by Einstein’s equation Nuclear energy from the sun is produced by hydrogen fusion – 4 million tons of hydrogen are consumed every second producing 400 septillion Watts - more energy per second than the earth uses in 1 year by a factor of one million

Using atomic bomb controversial after Germany’s surrender
Germany surrendered in the Spring of 1945 Atomic bombs were dropped on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August 1945 Prior to the use of the atomic bombs, many prominent citizens and scientists objected 69 scientists from the Manhattan project signed a petition against the use of the bomb
