MSc Research Methods Project proposal presentation Guidelines

2 Assessment Overview A short presentation to your peers of approximately 3 min, with a further 2 min answering questions and receiving feedback. You will need to have a title, make it clear who the author is the aims (i.e. what you want to achieve), the context (i.e. what has been done in this area and/or why are you doing this) and the key deliverables. You should also include Harvard references to the most important resources. You should include your power point slides or other documents as an appendix for your final project proposal.

3 Marking Criteria Content - Is the topic suitable for the course, is a coherent case made that covers the key issues, is it viable for the time / resources of the PGMP module. (Up to 10 marks) Presentation - use of slides (visual), presentation to audience (audibility and engagement). (Up to 10 marks)

4 Guidelines Title Slide- Programme, Module name, Assessment name, Your Project/Research Title, SID, Date Introduction- give a background to research, define your topic, drill into the chosen aspect Issue and Rationale- why are you doing this research? So, outline what research have been done in this area to date, identify gaps, provide evidence of the issue that triggered the research idea. Research Purpose- state the RQ/hypothesis, state your Aim and research objectives Reference List- list all the sources used to put together the presentation
