2. Advanced Higher Project-dissertation
In the project-dissertation learners will:
justify an appropriate complex issue for research (8 marks)
evaluate research methodology (6 marks)
use a wide range of sources of information (6 marks)
analyse the issue (8 marks)
evaluate arguments and evidence (8 marks)
synthesise information to develop a sustained and coherent line of argument, leading to a conclusion supported by evidence (10 marks)
organise, present and reference findings using appropriate conventions (4 marks)

3. Advanced Higher Project-dissertation
The Project-dissertation
has a word range of 4000 to 5000 words.
the word count should be submitted with completed project-dissertation.
The word count includes the evaluation of research methods but excludes references, bibliography, contents page, footnotes and appendices.
if the word count exceeds the maximum by 10%, a penalty will be applied.
has a maximum mark of 50 which is almost 36% of the total mark for the Course.
