WHAT IS A COURSE REP? 1 4 Represent your academic interests across campus A bridge between students and staff 2 5 Ensure that concerns about your course are heard Let staff know when things are working well Reps Reps attend meetings within your department to raise any concerns Reps attend training with the SU as soon as they are elected so they’re up to date and in the know about everything that you may need throughout the academic year Reps attend meetings all over campus about things like the library, teaching innovation and faculty wide meetings to ensure that your academic interests are at the heart of everything Royal Holloway does Reps also share the stuff that makes lectures engaging, seminars fun and workshops amazing! It’s so important that staff know when stuff is going well! Attend the Staff Student Committee within your department 3 6 Are trained by the SU to ensure your concerns are dealt with properly

WHAT DO I GO TO A REP FOR? 1 4 To share anything that is going well in your class. If there are aspects of your course you don’t agree with. 2 5 If there are any issues with assessment or feedback. For advice on who to contact regarding your issues. 3 6 To get help in communicating an issue with a tutor, while staying anonymous. To compile many voices into one strong argument for larger changes in your department.
