-Pull out your phone. Concerning phones……. -Text to @9fd22f8 -Reply to the return text with your name. Note to self : Pass out one index card to each student now.

9 Take the index card and fold it two-thirds of the way down so the long side is the seam. Make sure the “clear” side is showing. Write your first and last names on the clear side. (See picture.) clear side seam Keep this card and place it on your desk. It is your official Algebra I name plate.

11 EASY QUIZ The following short quiz consists of four questions and will tell you whether you are qualified to be a “professional”.

12 1) How do you put a giraffe into a refrigerator?

13 ANSWER TO QUESTION #1 Open the refrigerator, put in the giraffe, and close the door. This questions tests whether you tend to do simple things in an overly complicated way.

14 2) How do you put an elephant into a refrigerator?

15 ANSWER TO QUESTION #2 Did you say, “Open the refrigerator, put in the elephant, and close the refrigerator”? This is the wrong answer.

16 The correct answer is : Open the refrigerator, take out the giraffe, put in the elephant, and close the door.

17 This question tests your ability to think through the repercussions of your previous actions.

3) The Lion King is hosting an animal conference. All the animals attend, except one. Which animal does not attend?

19 ANSWER TO QUESTION #3 The elephant. The elephant is in the refrigerator. You just put him in there. Remember me?

20 The last question tests your memory.
Okay, even if you did not answer the first three questions correctly, you still have one more chance to show your true abilities.

21 4) There is a river you must cross, but it is inhabited by hungry crocodiles. You do not have a boat. How do you manage it?

22 ANSWER TO QUESTION #4 You jump into the river and swim across. Have you not been listening? All the crocodiles are attending the Animal Meeting. This tests whether you have learned quickly from your mistakes.

According to Anderson Consulting Worldwide, around 90% of the professionals they tested got all questions wrong. Many preschoolers got several correct answers. This conclusively proves that most professionals do not have the brains of a 4 year-old!
