3. Adding currency £
Copy the test spreadsheet-save to your area –then open Now in price column Highlight all cells and press ctrl and 1- this will open up the formatting dialogue box
Once you have opened the dialogue box then choose English £ and click ok-This will apply the currency formatting (1 mark)

4. Using formula with single operator
the simplest way to use a formula with a single operator is to use this kind of formula
What this does is multiply one cell by another cell using the * symbol to multiply the two chosen cells -1 mark

5. Using =sum to add up a range of cells
Once you have used a single operator to work out total spend per item now is time to work out total spend using =sum
=sum(e3:e7) will add up a range between the cell references e3-e7 * 1 mark

6. Add merged cells -1 mark
to merge cells all you need to is highlight cells then
Choose Merge cells
The cells have merged

7. Add headers and footers
on the test spreadsheet –select text –header and footer
Type in your name and unit 2 GCSE ICT and if you know it your candidate number
This will then open up header and footer
Then select normal tab and it will take you back

If the Developer tab is not available, display it.
Display the Developer tab
Click the File tab, click Options, and then click Customize Ribbon.
Under Main Tabs, select the Developer check box, and then click OK.
On the Developer tab, in the Controls group, click Insert-select spin button

Draw shape on your spreadsheet It will look like this
Right click the shape and select format control
Now we need to add controls to our spinner so that when we click it, it changes the data
To make your spinner do something you need to change the incremental change to 1000
Then click ok .You can now click the arrows to test the spreadsheet

10. Sorting data
Highlight data to sort-Go to data drop down -Select expand selection Choose sort by column b - then press ok-Should then sort by column b
