Special Adaptations Eastern American toads’ brown coloration helps toads camouflage themselves in their environment They defend themselves against predators, such as snakes, ---by excreting a toxic, milky substance from the skin. ---by urinating on themselves. --- by inflating their bodies to prevent being swallowed.
3
Giraffe Adaptations: -feed on leaves on the upper branches of trees that other animals cannot reach. -have an extra large heart to help them pump blood up their very long necks. -have spots to help camouflage themselves. -have very tough tongues to protect themselves from thorns when eating.
4
A giraffe’s long neck is an ADAPTATION that helps the giraffe survive in its environment.
The long neck was NOT grown on purpose NOT a result of the giraffe stretching.
