2 Defect and Proposal Defect
Transmission licence holder name has changed from National Grid Company plc (NGC) to National Grid Electricity Transmission plc (NGET), hence the CUSC terms of reference to NGC are no longer accurate Proposed Amendments NGC definition is amendment to reflect the new name to NGET New clause in section 6, to allow any references to NGC within any related documents following the implementation of this Proposed Amendment to have the same meaning as NGET New clause in section 8.23, to allow any existing Proposed Amendments that include references to NGC and that are implemented after this Proposed Amendment to have NGC replaced within NGET Clause 6 Not proposing all related documents are changed just the CUSC Related documents include Bilateral Agreements – (Bilateral Connection Agreements, Bilateral Embedded Generation Agreements or BELLA) Construction Agreements – modify/ construct which has an effect on NG

3 Rational New clause in section 6
This will allow any references to NGC in any related documents to have the same meaning as the new definition, NGET New clause in section 8.23 This will prevent pending Amendment Proposals re- introducing references to NGC and removes the requirement for further Amendment Proposals Different approach to other codes Grid Code – Legal text can be varied once the Amendments is with the Authority STC – Currently has no outstanding amendments Not House Keeping CAP 085
