1. Arthur’s Coat of Arms Create a coat of arms to represent King Arthur
Follow the directions below to complete the activity.

Go to
You will be creating a coat of arms to represent Arthur. Begin by choosing a shield shape.
Choose a color to best represent Arthur based on the Heraldry Symbols and Meanings website.
Click on step 2 and type in the name Arthur.
Click on step 3 and type in a motto that you feel Arthur would believe in.
Click step 4 and choose four values that fit Arthur.
Click step 5 and choose four symbols to go with those values. Use the Heraldry Symbols and Meanings website as a guide to symbol meanings. Drag each symbol you’d like to use onto the shield.
Click step 6. Type in YOUR NAME and YOUR TEACHER’S address.
On a sheet of paper, write a paragraph explaining why you choose each symbol to represent Arthur. Use evidence from the text to support your answer.
