The British are slow to leave the forts south of the Great Lakes after the American Rvolution

Causes :
Napoleon blocks England’s shipping routes
France is blocking England’s access to lumber / timber
England needs timber / lumber for building ship, buildings, ect.

8. 3. Tension Between England and U.S.A.
Cause :
England uses it’s ships to block the Atlantic Ocean.
Any ship delivering good materials to France is stopped
British ships stop and take over American ships

1) The war takes place mainly in the Great Lakes region and upper Canada  no territory chanage
2) Impact of the war  upper Canada gets a feeling of “nationality”  We are different than the Americans
3) Support from the “Canadiens” who would rather remain British than American. They are happier with the new system of government even though it is not perfect…
