Stomach: food is broken down and turned into a thick liquid Liver: your blood takes nutrients to your liver from your small intestine Gall bladder: The gall bladder receives bile from the liver, stores and concentrates it, and delivers it to the intestine as required. The pancreas: releases hormones into the blood which help control your blood sugars Large intestine: leftover food is squeezed along your large intestine . Small intestine: useful nutrients soak through your small intestine into your blood
