1 Targeted multiplexed next generation RNA sequencing assay for tissue source determination of forensic samples  Erin Hanson, Sabrina Ingold, Cordula Haas, Jack Ballantyne  Forensic Science International: Genetics Supplement Series  Volume 5, Pages e441-e443 (December 2015) DOI: /j.fsigss Copyright © 2015 Elsevier Ireland Ltd Terms and Conditions

2 Fig. 1 Target hits for blood specific biomarkers in a single source bloodstain. The target hits or ‘counts’ for each of the either blood specific biomarkers is shown for a single source dried bloodstain (red bars) using a 38plex targeted multiplexed RNA NGS assay. The highest count value was observed for ALAS2. Little to no count values were observed for the other 6 semen (SE), 8 saliva (SA), 4 vaginal (VS), 5 menstrual (MB) or 7 skin (SK) biomarkers included in the multiplex assay. X-axis: target hits/counts (i.e. gene expression); Y-axis: biomarker.
