All living organisms grow and develop-they get bigger and change in the physical form or physiological make-up of the organism

V. Energy All living organisms use energy
Living organisms need energy to grow, develop, repair damage, and reproduce

VI. Response All living things respond to (STIMULI): changes in light, heat, sound, and chemical and physical contact.

VII. Homeostasis All living organisms maintain a stable internal balance even though the environment (temperature, pH, blood pressure, salt content) is constantly changing
