English Imagine you are a time traveller. Using the five senses, describe your journey through time. When and where are the places you travel to? What does it feel like to time travel? The five senses: What can you see? What can you hear? What can you smell? What can you taste? What can you feel? The five senses: What can you see? What can you hear? What can you smell? What can you taste? What can you feel? Level 3 I write in paragraphs and I always use full stops, capital letters and question marks correctly. I use interesting vocabulary and I use the senses to describe. Level 4 My vocabulary choices are interesting. I can create complex sentence structures which are organised into paragraphs. I use all of the senses to describe. Level 5 I use ambitious vocabulary and a range of punctuation (.,:;’””!?). I use a range of sentence structures and paragraphs which are linked. I use a simile and alliteration to create effect on the reader. I use all of the senses to describe. Level 6 I use a range of sentence structures (minor, simple, compound, complex) and varied vocabulary to create specific effects. My spelling and punctuation are always accurate and I use a range of techniques to create effect (simile, metaphor, alliteration, onomatopoeia, pathetic fallacy). Think about: Time travelling: What is it like? Can you see time moving? What kind of journey is it? Is it a smooth ride or a bumpy journey? How does it make you feel? The places you choose to visit: When and where are they? Why did you choose to visit this place? Describe in detail what you can see, hear, smell, taste and feel.

GOOD BETTER AMAZING DRAMA I can create a series of still images to represent time and motion. I can create a series of still images to represent the past and the present . I can include ‘thoughts aloud’ to explain how characters are feeling. I can create scenarios situated in the past, present and future using role play and mime. MUSIC I can recognise the Time Signature of pieces of music – make a list of songs and identify the Time Signature. 4/4, 2/4, 3/4 etc I can identify and perform using rhythmic notation – crotchets, quavers, minims, semibreves. Make a recording of yourself performing a rhythm. I can compose my own piece of music using the notation suggested and an appropriate Time Signature. Alternative 1: To attend Choir, Wind Band or ‘Wizard of Oz’ (Singing, Acting, Dancing or Crew) Alternative 2: To continue learning a musical instrument DANCE I can research, watch and attempt moving in slow motion. Slow motion dance clips below: I can perfect my slow motion skills and perform a wide range of actions such as walking, waving, bowling, falling, turning and exploding like in the YouTube clips.
