Asexual Reproduction Made by Fayra,Merryl, and Kenzy
2
Definition: Asexual reproduction is reproduction without a mate. In this form of reproduction, a single organism or cell makes a copy of itself. The genes of the original and its copy will be the same, except for rare mutations. They are clones. The main process of asexual reproduction is mitosis.
3
There are alot of variation for asexual reproduction. In the next 3 slides, we’re going to explain three of them

Budding: Budding is a method of asexual reproduction. With budding, a new organism grows on another one. Only when it is fully grown does it detach from the parent organism. Since the reproduction is asexual, the newly created organism is a clone and is genetically identical to the parent organism. Examples of budding organisms are; hydra and yeast

Binary Fission Is a kind of asexual reproduction. It is the most common form of reproduction in prokaryotes such as bacteria. It occurs in some single-celled Eukaryotes In binary fission DNA replication and segregation occur simultaneously. Example like the Amoeba and the Paramoecium. Binary Fission:

Spore formation may be asexual or sexual. The asexual spores have the genetic material inside, which allows them to make a whole new organism identical to its parent. They are produced by mitosis. Spore Formation: For example, mushrooms and mosses or flowering plants
