2. What is a Title I School?
Title I is a federally funded program which provides services to schools based on student economic needs.
Cobb County has 46 schools with 50% or more students participating in the school Meal program.
The purpose of Title I under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of (ESEA) is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments.
