Teaching Approach

The foundation to our approach
Tasktime is based on students working together to produce a task in a specific topic. It stems from the more traditional TBL – Task Based Learning approach. The task page evolved from a writing genre approach. The task page is used to show a layout, most commonly used in the UK or USA, to capture information which can be used to support speaking production stages. Our short courses aim to maximise communication and comprehension. The topics are all common EFL topics so students and teachers are likely to be familiar and have some level of competency in these areas. The topics lend themselves to grammar forms and are the ‘invisible foundation’ to the tasks and lessons.
