On time With all materials Ready to learn and try If you’re in class, you’re ready for class: Sharpen pencil Sit at assigned seat Begin warm-up activity

Focused on task Giving effort Follow school and grade level rules and expectations If you’re in class, you’re ready for class: Sit at assigned seat unless permitted to do otherwise Raising hand for question

Whole Group: when the class is all working on the same activity, or listening to the same person Expectations: Silent, listen until it is time to share Focused (which may mean taking notes at the right time) Respond to questions or ask your own by raising your hand
