Using the AMSCO Civics text (Chapter 11), you will: Read pages 167 through 177 Answer “Let’s Think” questions on pages 169, 171, 172 and 175 Create a neat organizer the illustrates and explains the following: 2 forms of city government (Create one illustration for each form) 3 city or municipal services 2 other forms of local government (hint: think about neighborhoods and small communities) Options? Read the Ourplace article on Cary residents filed a lawsuit last year to stop the Wake County School District’s plan to convert 22 schools to a year-round calendar. Describe another method (involving voters) that Wake County parents could use to try and stop the year-round conversion. Discuss the pros & cons of the method you chose.
