To support our child’s education we will:
Parents To support our child’s education we will: Make sure that our child arrives at school by 8.50am at the latest, every day Make sure that our child comes to school every day This academy sets a target of 97% attendance. If your child falls below this you will be sent a letter and asked to come in to school to discuss this. Not take our child on holiday or for a extended absence during term time Telephone school by 9.00am if my child is absent Make sure that our child wears the correct uniform every day Make sure that our child always has a PE Kit in school Support our child with homework Take a genuine interest in our child’s education by attending parents’ evenings and workshops (where possible) Encourage our child to follow the Freehold Five Try to ensure our child is healthy, active and eats a healthy diet School We will provide your child with the best possible education by: Ensuring that your child is safe and happy Working with you to ensure that child reaches his or her potential Ensuring that all of our children achieve well Contacting you if there is a problem with attendance, punctuality, behaviour or learning. Welcoming you at all times and offering you the opportunity to become more involved in the daily life of the school Telling you about what your children is learning each term Set, mark and monitor your child’s homework Encourage your child to develop the values of the Freehold Five Promote a healthy and active lifestyle

Children To make sure that you achieve the best you can be, is your responsibility to: Come to school every day Be on time for school every day Wear the correct uniform every day Try your best with your work in class Be resilient if you get stuck Try your best with your homework Follow the Freehold Five Make healthy choices Keep our school tidy and look after it The Freehold Five In our school we are responsible and motivated to learn. Code of Conduct for Trips
We will remember that we represent our school at all times by: Following any special rules for the place we are visiting. Remembering that members of the public are watching our behaviour Talking quietly Ensuring that our seat belts stay on and we never undo someone else’s belt We will be polite and have respect for everybody by: Listening to everybody particularly adults supervising the groups. Following instructions Opening doors for other people Saying please and thank you Allowing members of the public to go first. We will care for each other and help one another by: Always staying together Caring for other peoples property Leaving the place we have visited tidy. Thinking about our own safety and that of others. Taking care near roads, water and equipment that may be dangerous Holidays in Term Time and Extended Absences Guidelines have been set out by Focus-Trust in accordance with DFE guidelines. These have been agreed at local governing body level. Freehold Academy will not give permission for any holidays or extended leave in term time. If you choose to take your child away this will count as an unauthorised absence and you will be fined. You may also receive a visit from the School Attendance Improvement Service. You still need to come into school to discuss travel arrangements with Miss Tootill You still need to produce your travel tickets You are risking your child’s place in this academy by taking them out of school during term time Your child may lose their place
