Did not care about the outer world Held their own beliefs and opinions

Idgie and Ruth A respected and liked couple in Whistle Stop
Both had separate personalities that make them liked for different reasons The community never questions or doubts their relationship and love

Connections Whistle Stop was an independent small town
Did not allow others how to treat and connect with those around them

Connections Citizens of Whistle Stop recognized the good Idgie and Ruth were doing for their town As well as the impact they had on the town and the people Did not judge them solely based on their sexual orientation
