2. Class Description
This Language Arts class is designed to increase your literacy skills through reading, writing, speaking, and the study of the English language. They will use media, and technology for expressive, informational, argumentative, critical and literary purposes. Students will use the stages of the writing process to write clear, coherent drafts and compositions throughout the school year. Students will be challenged to develop advanced skills in reading, composition, oral communication, and logical argument.

You will be able to see updated grades on Infinite Campus. Parents must obtain a username and password for infinite Campus from the Counseling department.

Check the REMIND 101 site for homework assignments and important announcements. The codes are listed for each class period.

7. Technology
Chromebooks will be available for checkout this year. Technology will be used on a regular basis.

8. Cell Phone Policy
Cell phones must be placed in the locker. They will not be permitted in the classroom. View the cell phone policy that is located in the student packet for additional information.

9. The students should read 20-30 minutes every night
The students should read minutes every night. All students are required to participate in the Reading Passport Challenge. This nightly reading will assist with meeting the reading challenge deadlines.
