Doctoral School: The Doctoral School of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) is responsible for doctoral studies, at both the academic and administrative level. It is a multidisciplinary school offering doctoral programs in different fields: Engineering and Architecture, Sciences, Arts & Humanities and Social Sciences. The School has its own strategy, which is tied to the strategies of the University's different research programmes.

Central + 13 International Offices Mentor Programme Courses taught in English Spanish Intensive & Regular courses Exchange Student Guide APP (Poliexchange) Orientation Sessions International Activities (international week, welcome meetings, Erasmus Staff Week…) Language Center Our resources to assist student and staff mobility are: Central International Office and other thirteen more in each school… Language Center The Language Center offers different services in the field of foreign languages to the whole university community. The activities are focused on the following areas: A) Training in foreign languages. B) Official language exams. C) Support to teaching staff in the field of foreign languages with translation and revision of research papers.

Internacional Exchange:
International efforts focus on both undergraduate and postgraduate students, and take the form of student, teaching and research staff mobility programmes. There are also joint degrees, access to qualifications of international recognition, to research programmes and specific development projects in America, Europe, Asia (China, Japan, etc.) and Australia. As a result of this approach, the UPV is specially committed to cooperation and development in Latin America by introducing collaborative structures. 700 Higher Education partner Institutions in 54 countries

Mobility data: The UPV is among best universities in sending and hosting students. 4th European University in incoming students 5th European University in outgoing students 1st Spanish University in Erasmus mobility for placements. 1st Spanish Technical University in sending students under the Erasmus Programme. 2nd in outgoing Staff mobility in Spain and 7th European University in Teaching assignments under Erasmus The University provides a free service to students to help them find accommodation that meets their expectations and needs. To do so, it keeps a database with information about students and individuals offering and requesting shared flats, stays with a family or flats to rent. On the other hand, you can find a complete database of currently available of university residences in Valencia. THE INFORMATION OFFICE The Information Office responds to all the questions, doubts and enquiries related to the studies and the academic life at the University. On the other hand, offers information about scholarships, accommodation, courses, activities,… Moreover, it is the lost and found office and accreditations office. 18 18

UPV has 600 bilateral Erasmus+ Agreements.
Also, Promoe Programe (own UPV) allows Exchange within universities of Canada, United States, Latin America, China, Japan and Australia. Aswell as international doubles degrees.

Services at UPV: Library
11 libraries. 12,802 m2. 3,351 reading posts. The service of Library and Scientific Documentation provides and manages the documentation and bibliographic information to support the study, teaching and research of the community, and also offers training activities on management of available resources. Here you are some data: It consists of 11 libraries with 12,802 m2 and 3,351 reading seats, of which 200 are for team working. 20 20

Structure of the Library-UPV:
A Central Library and 10 more specialized Zones. More than 474,000 volumes (books, magazines, films, maps ...) With 3,479 reading posts. With individual and group study rooms. Extended time in exams period (until 1 in the morning) .

Sports: The Universitat Politècnica promotes a full range of sports at different levels through our on-campus Sports Area. Access to these facilities is regulated by the “Area de Deportes”. Sport activities Gym: Keep fit and Weight training, Aerobics, Step, Bars training, Rhythms, Aero-box, Martial Arts: Tae Kwon-do, Karate, Judo, Aikido, Mountain sports, UPV cycling club, Sailing courses and motor boating, Tennis lessons, Ski courses, Valencian Football supporters club, Valencian Basketball supporters, Games Club, Sports Federation, Circuit training, Fitness, Etc… All members of the University community can practice sports. Before was free, but now, for only 100€ per year, you can do sport activities like pilates, Tai Chi, yoga, dance,…and you can access at sports facilities: sports complex, running tracks, tennis and paddle tennis courts , cycle track, indoor swimming pool, … 22 22

Free access computer classes in all schools and faculties. Wi-Fi technology in buildings, gardens and outdoor areas. The University has its own radio and TV broadcasting channels. Both Radio and TV can be accessed via Internet. 23 23

Student Union: The Student Union of the UPV is the student representative body that, through the different delegations, represents all UPV students, reports, helps, advises, listens to suggestions, complaints and ideas and also organizes activities, events, training courses for all students within our university framework. Main Student Union and 13 branches in every center. The Student Union represents all students of the Universitat Politècnica de València (DAUPV) in order to defend all their rights. Managed by UPV students, it is equipped with wireless technology, classrooms, computer rooms, study rooms, photo lab, and an area dedicated to leisure activities and television. Here are located the associations of students carrying out activities of solidarity: Architects and Engineers without Frontiers, University Social Cooperation... Services for persons with disabilities Fundación CEDAT It provides information and advice to members of the University community with disabilities, with accompaniment and support in the classroom. Also provides technical assistance for the study to the students that need special education . It works in plans of accessibility, projects of barriers architectural removal,… Centre for Development Cooperation (CCD) The Centre for Development Cooperation (CCD) is the area of the University responsible for promoting solidarity attitudes among the university community. Its mission is to implement strategies for development cooperation at the university through teaching and research, with the aim of achieving sustainable human development. 24 24
