Abstraction: Pulling out specific differences to make one solution work for multiple problems.
Function: A piece of code that you can easily call over and over again.

Top-Down design is a problem solving strategy in which you break down a large problem by naming its sub-tasks
Then breaking down the sub-tasks further and so on until you're down to primitive operations.
