2 Key Vocabulary Percent: A ratio that compares a number to 100
Proportion: An equation stating that two ratios are equal. Cross Product: Multiplying the numerator of each ratio with the denominator of the other ratio. Change: Make or become different Percent of Change: the percent a quantity increases or decrease from its original amount.

4 Procedure First find the amount of change Second write a proportion.
Third write the cross products Fourth use the division property of equality to isolate the variable. Fifth step is to simplify.
