Summary of Story -You control a leader of a squad of three USA soldiers, modern day -Sent into Dubai after an evacuation team lost contact (the 33rd) -Your mission is to try and evacuate as many citizens of the city as you possibly can -However, on arrival you find out that the citizens, the 33rd, and the CIA are all fighting.
6
The Actual Game
7
Bugs -Cutscenes sometimes skip themselves
-”Jitter” (where the frames don’t display smoothly) is common during action heavy sequences -Can skip Dialogue by walking too far from initial trigger
8
The Good -Brilliant story told well through mechanics
-Characters begin to show wear and tear as they go throughout the game -Story moments make you feel part of the game -Gives an illusion of choice that makes your decisions feel like they matter
9
The Bad -Cover shooting feels awkward and clunky
-Difficulty levels only increase amount of damage bullets inflict, and nothing else. -Game can alienate those looking for just a fun, no think type of game
10
Why it is Better (As compared to Gears of War)
-The game has a mastery over dialogue to really build a realistic relationship between soldiers -Story is fresh and new, and keeps you playing -Makes you think about your actions
11
Why its Worse (as compared to Gears of War) -Fighting can get repetitive -Little to no diversity in gameplay-what you do the first ten minutes is what you do throughout -Graphics are of lesser quality -Multiplayer is not enjoyable
12
Possible Improvements
-Adding more diverse fighting in the game +More environmental hazards +More commands to give to squad members +Adding vehicle combat -Better graphics -Patching up plot holes
13
Is This Game Worth Buying
-Yes (I would fill this entire slide with yes if I could) BUT ONLY IF: +You like story driven games +Can get past clunky and repetitive gameplay +You are playing on a computer
