9. This is how it works
When a customer pays with a debit card they are charged a NETWORK ACCESS FEE (NAF) by the terminal (not you) Giving them the opportunity to use a debit card where they normally would not be able to
The industry (NAF) we have established as acceptable for a taxi fare is $1.00
The terminals charge the fee according to Interac regulations, which gives the customer the option of accepting the fee or canceling and paying with an other option cash or credit

You guarantee to Conquest 4 transactions per day for 30 days with a (NAF) of $1.00
If you do 4 or more debit transaction in a day your terminal is FREE
If you do less you pay the difference. Example you only do 3 transactions per day 3 x 30 = 90, 120 – 90 = $30.00 you pay
Debit transaction will increase as customer become aware of your acceptance

So, Debit covers the terminal cost unless you are short of the 4 per day transactions
One simply solution to get you a FREE terminal would be to offer small CASH BACK amounts
On the terminal it can ask the customer if they would also like a $20.00 CASH BACK
If customer uses this service, it will charge them a additional fee of $0.50. the driver only gives it out when they have cash, you do not keep cash on board for this purpose. So as the cash comes in, it is then given back out in the form of cash back and that money goes straight into your account
A few cash backs a day and you now have a free terminal

13. Credit Card Payment
At this time NAF’s are not allowed on a credit card payment, So unfortunately you have to absorb that as a Merchant
Your costs will be $0.25 cents per approved, non approved and void credit card transactions
Your MDR rate will stay the same as present, although we can work with credit acquires to try and negotiate a better rate for you
Don’t forget all credit is real-time authorization which means less charge backs
