Summary Session #67 in Bangalore, India Objectives for this session: TGm: Resolve all remaining comments in 16m Letter ballot 31a; Create draft D6, expecting no further comments; proceeding to Confirmation Ballot and Start the Sponsor Ballot shortly before the July 2010 Plenary meeting. TGMaint: Resolve a few change-request pending on IEEE and once approved, input the resolutions as comments into the 16m draft. TGh: Not meeting this session ITU-T Liaison: Prepare for the IEGs meeting, hosted by , in China next week. Project Planning: Formulate project definitions, PAR and 5C 9five criteria) document for M2M study project. P802.16h – Status Did not meet in this session.
Completed the sponsor ballot and approved to proceed to the RevCom review stage The draft standard P802.16/D15has been submitted to Revcom Recirculation ran from 26 March - 15 April, The results were: 106 Approve, 4 Disapprove, 7 Abstain 96% Approval Ratio, 87% Return Ratio. No new Disapprove votes were received. No comments of any kind were received during the final recirc. No changes will be made to the draft as a result of the final recirc. The comments associated with the remaining disapproves are documented in the report presented to the EC on 19 March: < As a result, Roger proceeded to submit P802.16/D15 to RevCom. Study Group Committee on Network Robustness and Reliability (NRR) - created at session #58 Its PAR was approved in March 2010 Status: developing the Requirements Document Problem area: running into overlap and conflict with M2M functionalities. Project scope (text quoted from the approved PAR): “This amendment specifies protocol enhancements to the IEEE MAC for enabling increased robustness and alternate radio path establishment in degraded network conditions. Limited OFDMA PHY extensions are included for enabling operation with radio path redundancy and direct communication between subscriber stations. Also mobile base stations and mobile relay stations are supported.
