17. French- American Interscholastic Sports 2015 – 2016 All important information is on the School Website under Athletics
Fall: Soccer, Cross Country
Winter: Basketball
Spring: Tennis, Rugby, Softball, Baseball, Track and Field
Practices and games will be held during the week. No more than three athletic activities during a one-week period. Basketball, softball and baseball will have Saturday morning practice.
All sports are subject to change. A minimum number will be needed in all sports. If numbers warrant, try-outs may be used for both 6th – 8th and 9th – 12th grade teams.
All athletes must have a completed health survey and an up-to-date physical exam form in the health office before the first practice. Please read our school policy and obtain health forms on the FASNY website under “school life”.
FASNY’s Academic/Athletic Policy: Whenever a “soutien” (scheduled Extra Help session) conflicts with a sports team practice, the academic “soutien” session takes priority provided the student has informed his or her coach with at least 24 hours notice. However, whenever a game or match conflicts with a “soutien” the student is expected to attend the game or match.
