FAS, along with Santa Tecla, will be the representatives of El Salvador in SCL Alianza as CD Aguila was present in the 2017 Edition and was eliminated in the 4th of Final. CD FAS played 3 editions of the Scotiabank Concacaf League SCCL, in , and (it never managed to overcome the group stage). CD FAS will play its first match against a rival from Costa Rica. In previous tournaments, they have faced rivals from Canada, USA, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and Puerto Rico, as well as El Salvador CD FAS drags a negative streak of 4 matches without wins in CONCACAF tournaments. They have one draw, 3 losses in the Scotiabank Concacaf League, SCL. The last victory of CD FAS in competitions of Concacaf was against Olimpia (HON) 2-1, in the edition of the SCCL, with goals from Alejandro Bentos and Juan Carlos Moscoso (current defender of the Salvadoran team). Victor Hugo Montaño (FAS), is one of the new players for the 2018/19 season. With a past in French football, it is one of the hopes in the front of FAS for this tournament. Edder Monguio (Pérez Zeledón) was one of the best players in the SCL 2017, when he participated for the runner-up Santos de Guápiles (CRC), becoming part of the XI of the 1st Edition. Matias Coloca (FAS) is one of the team's stars and was also chosen as the best goalkeeper of the 2017 Apertura Tournament in El Salvador after having the fewest goals against (14 goals in 17 games played). The club has been active in the summer transfer window, previously adding Panamanian FW Armando Polo and now a second player, Salvadoran DF Ibsen Castro, who had previous spells with Sonsonate, Aguila and Atletico Marte. It will be the first participation for Pérez Zeledón in a Concacaf tournament throughout its history. They qualified after winning the 2017 Apertura Championship in Costa Rica. Perez Zeledón will play its first international game in his history. It will be one of the 4 Costa Rican teams to play in the Scotiabank Concacaf League SCL, along with Herediano, Alajuelense, and Santos de Guapiles. Keyler Soto (Perez Zeledon), captain of the team, is one of the most experienced players of the current squad. He converted 20 goals in his return to the club. Perez Zeledon has made a number of moves during the summer to bolster a side that will be competing both in the SCL and in Costa Rica’s domestic league, which begins on July 22 against Deportivo Saprissa. Among the new arrivals to the 2017 Torneo Apertura champions are FW Leandro Rodriguez, FW Yuaycell Wright, MF Rafael Rodriguez, MF Javier Liendo, GK Carlos Mendez, DF Asdrubal Gibbons and DF Edder Monguio. Thus far Perez Zeledon has played four preseason friendlies and outside of a narrow 1-0 loss to Carmelita, the returns have been impressive with wins over Sporting San Jose (4-0), Seleccion de OSA (6-0) and El Aguila de Pejibaye (8-2). Two League games in the Apertura Lost 0-1 vrs Guadalupe (home) and win 2-1 vts Alajuelense (away) Rafael Rodriguez (2) 26 and 57 minutes.
