5 What lessons can be learned
from the script? Knowledge is not the most important thing in the history exam – it is the application of this knowledge and addressing the question. To emphasise change you must look at before and after To get a student to achieve a level 3 they need to identify, describe and explain 2 factors/aspects (essentially 2 PEE or PEEL paragraphs) To push for a level 4 you need to look at EXTENT of change (i.e. how it is different / variable over time or with different groups of people)
