What’s Happening in...
Be sure to let the office know if you need a new car rider tag as soon as possible!
Please DO NOT remove tags from backpacks! We need those to make sure your child gets home safely!
Sight Words: We have attached then entire list of sight words each 1st grader will learn by the end of the year. Please work with your child to learn these important words.
Tuesday and Wednesday: We will be administering a pre-test to every 1st grade student so we are better able to help your child grow.
The office is currently out of shirts and is expecting more in about 3 weeks.
Reading: Students are learning what makes a story fun to read together.
Phonics/Spelling: Recognize features of letter forms. Locate the first and last letter of a word.
Math: Place value and how to compose (combine 2 numbers to make a new number) and decompose (break a number into 2 or more parts) numbers to 20.
Writing: Learning to become independent writers.
