1. How to Access and Use Famis

2. You must be assigned a Username and Password to have access to Famis
You must be assigned a Username and Password to have access to Famis. For access credentials please contact the Columbus City School Buildings and Grounds Customers Service Department at , and a Maintenance Service Representative will be happy to assist you.

3. Once you have been given access to Famis please sign on to the CCS Intranet and select the
“Departments” link.

4. Select the “Buildings and Grounds” link

5. Select the “Famis” Production link

6. At the Sign In page input your username and password and click on the “Sign In” button below

7. To Create a service request, the requestor will fill in the form with the proper building, floor, space, type,
and sub type. The requestor will explain this issue using the “Describe your Request” box, and select ok
to submit

8. Once the request is submitted, Famis will generate an automatic notification to the requestor with the
Request ID # attached

9. The Requestor has the ability to communicate with the “Assign To” person by entering comments
into the “General Comments Field”, checking the “Assigned To” Box and selecting update.

10. The Assigned to person has the ability to communicate back to the requestor by entering comments into the
“General Comments” field, checking the notify requestor box, and selecting update

11. Both comments are listed and are apart of the “Request History”

12. Once the issue has been resolved the request will be closed, and Famis will generate an notification
To the “Requestor”

13. To update, add, or change user information enter the User Name, Password, and click on the “Change User Information” box, then click on the “Sign In” button

14. From this screen you have the ability to change your user information such as, password, first and last
name, , and phone. It is important for all users to have an accurate and phone number for
contact purposes. If you are only changing your name, , and or phone and not your password,
you are still required to enter your current password in all 3 spaces listed below.

Famis is completely web based and can be accessed anywhere that has a web connection by using a computer, smartphone, IPAD, etc.
