What do you already know about Shakespeare? How do you feel about studying his work?

3. Shakespeare Quick Notes
Add these under your warm-up.
William Shakespeare:
Occupation: Poet and Playwright
Country: England
Language: Early Modern English
Famous For: Rewriting older stories as hip new plays with fantastic language.

4. Shakespeare’s Words Choose a word randomly from the cup.
Share your word with other students around you.
Discuss the following:
Are these words familiar or not?
Do you hear these words in common conversation?
Are they useful words?
Tables prepare to share out.

5. Shakespeare’s Words Use a Microsoft Word document (not Google Docs).
Include the following on the poster:
Word and meaning
How Shakespeare probably came up with it
Example sentence
Add illustration and decoration.
Submit your completed poster to Turnitin.com.

6. Homework - Due February 4th
Finish your poster and upload it to Turnitin.com by 5:30 pm.
