A connected community working together to improve health and care quality across the UK
Supports people in their existing improvement work: making it easier to share ideas, enhance skills and make changes that benefit patients
Connecting / Networking / Sharing / Stealing / Peer support / Creative space / Sparking ideas
UK wide.
In KSS we have been working to connect across the region, this extends our efforts and links well with some of the current KSS work

9. What does Q look like? Virtual connection Face to face connection
Q is not a taught programme, but a network of support for those already knowledgeable in undertaking improvement. There is no membership fee or minimum time commitment. Q is designed to support busy people with their current improvement work, on-going development and promote their visibility as a leader of improvement.

10. What is the Q Improvement Lab?
AIM: to support the design and large scale adoption of effective, sustainable improvements in the health and care of people, whilst increasing capacity and capabilities to tackle complex, system-wide problems.
Bringing together Q members and others to work on 9 to 12-month projects
Fist test lab has happened and the learning has been fed into the next lab

11. Growing Q May 2015: 231 founding cohort Oct 2016: 216 pilot including:
National organisations
Patient leaders with national profile
Wave 1 (Feb 2017): 352
Total Q members: 799
Now in the regional recruitment phase
The November regional recruitment in North East NC, West of England and South West AHSN areas welcomed a further 352 Qs
Wave 2 applications are currently being processed and we will be announcing new members in June
We are the blue phase which includes Public Health Wales, Wessex, Greater Manchester and Eastern AHSNs

Vibrant community tackling local and cross-system priorities
